injury sours 2008 season

unfortunately i suffered a broken foot in an accident at stafford motor speedway on June 6th 2008. i underwent surgery on June 16th to set the bones in my foot and will be on crutches for 6 weeks, followed by a walking cast for another 6 weeks. it is possible i will be able to return for a few races at the end of the year depending on the healing process, but as of this point it is doubtful i will be back in a racecar in 2008. i am concentrating on getting better and repairing our heavily damaged limited late model for the 2009 season.
i would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all my family, crew, friends, fans, and sponsors for their support during my recovery. to be hurt like this 3 races into a season that had such high expectations is a huge disappointment - but i look forward to getting back on the track as soon as possible.
